FAQ

Where are your apples grown?

Our apples are grown in the Johnny Appleseed region of New England. One orchard is located in the town Harvard, Massachusetts and the other orchard is located in the town of Townsend, Massachusetts.  The Townsend apples are on a hill that helps with the growing process and makes them happy because their view is of the local mountains, especially Mount Watatic improves their growth.

When will my order ship?

Our orchard team works swiftly and efficiently to pick, pack and ship as quickly as possible. Each apple box is hand packed, which does take some time but ensures the freshest apples for you, friends and family.

Why do you only ship Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday?

We ship on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to avoid having your order sit over the weekend with UPS. In some instances, we may delay sending your package until the following Monday.
We will do our best to ensure your order arrives by a certain date, but cannot warranty the actions of UPS.  A delay may occur during peak season or specific weather conditions.

Why were the apples delivered different from the apples I ordered?

Quantities are limited and orders are subject to availability. If after taking your order, the apple variety ordered becomes unavailable, we may substitute an item of equal or greater value. Seldom have we had to substitute and we will make every attempt to call you first to select the best option for you.

Can inclement weather have an effect on my order?

If your order destination is too cold and could result in the freezing of the apples, you may want to delay ordering or contact us to hold your package.  Shipments can be delayed during the cold winter months to prevent possible freezing.

What is the difference between Grade A and Grade B (Baker’s Box)?

Grade A apples are mature apples but not overripe, clean, nicely formed, free from bruising and broken skins. Some apple varieties have genetic tendencies and are prone to natural apple russeting, a brownish netlike marking typically found near the top of the apple or in a small patch on the apple. Russeting is natural and does affect the taste or quality of the apple.
Our Baker’s Box consists of Grade B apples, perfect for baking, cooking and saucing. Apples made for cooking!

I have a list of people I want to send apples to.  Can I enter all of them in one order?

Once you have finished shopping and have clicked the “checkout” button, you will be able to add or edit addresses for each friend or family member. You can also choose to add a special gift card or message to your order at this time.

Can I order more than one variety of apple in one gift box?

Not at this time, but if you contact our wonderful customer service representatives, we may be able to work something out for you.
